Highlands Equestrian Centre - Just for Fun Gymkana

The Highlands Equestrian Centre in Sutton Forest
held a
Just For Fun Gymkana on Sunday 11th September

It was a fabulous day with local kids riding their own horses and kids from the riding school using school horses, all having fun.

The day was split into three sections - Hacking, Showjumping and Sporting

In the Hacking the kids got to compete in Best Presented, Rider, Pairs & Consolation Classes - the Showjumping  classes were 40cm, 55cm, 70cm heights - the Sporting events were Bending, Barrels, Bounce Pony and Flagging.

Ribbons were handed out and points tallied with Reserve and Champion ribbons being presented at the end of the day.

Overall, you couldn't have asked for a better or more fun experience for the children.

I'd like to thank Nikki, Chrissy and the Court Family (the owners of Highlands Equestrian Centre) so much, for all the work that went into organizing a great day for the kids and parents.

Izzy is looking forward to the next Gymkana already,
I’m actually feeling a little shattered myself!

  1. Check out all those ribbons and that HUGE grin! I think she may be very please with herself. It doesn't look like anything will dampen her enthusiasm. I can definately identify with that shattered feeling!
